Calls for Funding
One of our key priorities is to support research training in critical digital humanities at every level, including postdoctoral fellowships, graduate fellowships, and undergraduate fellowships. We support interdisciplinary training programs that bring humanities students into dialogue with data studies, digitality, and computational methods, as well as supporting quantitative data science students to engage with questions of ethics, critical analysis, close reading, and interpretation.

Call for Funding: Graduate Fellowship in Critical Digital Humanities
Deadline: 13 May 2022. The CDHI Graduate Fellowship in Critical Digital Humanities supports a small interdisciplinary cohort of University of Toronto Ph.D. candidates engaged in DH research over the 2022-23 academic year. Students form a community of practice and participate in DH methods training workshops, research symposia, other CDHI events.

CDHI is pleased to announce a call for applications to a second round of Emerging Project Fund grants for Summer 2022. All full-time faculty members and librarians at the University of Toronto, including research stream, teaching stream, and CLTAs. Call for Funding: CDHI Postdoctoral Fellowship in Community Data (2022-24)
The Critical Digital Humanities Initiative (CDHI) is pleased to announce a new postdoctoral fellowship program, with a focus on Community Data. The program will support two interdisciplinary postdoctoral fellows for two academic years, 2022-24. One fellow will be affiliated with the University of Toronto Faculty of Information (iSchool). One fellow will be affiliated with University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC).
Graduate Digital Humanities Project Partner Grants: February-August 2022
The Critical Digital Humanities Initiative (CDHI) is pleased to announce new grants to support critical digital humanities (DH) research, focusing on funding qualified graduate students registered in any program at the University of Toronto. The program embeds graduate student researchers within existing critical digital humanities research projects at U of T, many of which are also collaborations with librarians and/or community organizations. This call supports grad researchers for the period between February 15, 2022 and August 31, 2022. U of T graduate students at registered in any program, along with a faculty member and/or librarian co-lead, are invited to apply to the program.
