[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”3″ display=”basic_thumbnail” thumbnail_crop=”0″]Sponsored by the Jackman Humanities Institute, our lightning lunches focus on a specific topic or contemporary issue. By inviting experts from different disciplines to explore the intersections of their work, these events lead to the formation of new networks, research projects, and shared knowledge. This lightning lunch focuses on the topic of “Composition and Computation,” and is presented in collaboration with the symposium MixtuRe: Digital Art and Compositional Realities (Sept. 21, 2019). Our speakers presented for 7 minutes, followed by lunch and informal discussion on the role of computational arts within and beyond the university.

Christopher Salter, Design and Computation Arts, Concordia University

Doug Van Nort, Computational Arts, York University

Isabel Pedersen, Communication and Digital Media Studies, Ontario Tech University

Registration is mandatory for catering purposes. Participants can register at our EventBrite page. For more information and to register for MixtuRe, visit https://mixturealities.wordpress.com/
