Public Scholarship and Knowledge Mobilization (Fall 2022 CDHI Lightning Lunch Series)

Please join us on October 11, 2022 for University of Toronto’s Critical Digital Humanities Initiative’s (CDHI’s) second Lightning Lunch of the 2022-2023 academic year featuring a discussion on “Public Scholarship and Knowledge Mobilization.”

Lightning Lunches are short meetings over lunch featuring the work of three scholars on a theme in current critical digital humanities scholarship. Prof. Maria Hupfield, Assistant Professor of Indigenous Digital Arts and Performance at UoT and a Canadian Research Chair in Transdisciplinary Indigenous Arts; Prof. Jon Johnson, Assistant Professor of Woodsworth College at UoT and leading organizer for First Story Toronto; and Dr. Ravynn Stringfield, Visiting Assistant Professor of Media Studies in the Rhetoric and Communication Studies at the University of Richmond will be speaking about their work and community engagement in Indigenous Studies and Black Studies through creative storytelling, digital technology, and art.
