Digital Pets (Fall 2022 CDHI Lightning Lunch Series)

Please join us on Tuesday, November 15 at 12pm for University of Toronto’s Critical Digital Humanities Initiative’s (CDHI’s) third Lightning Lunch of the 2022-2023 academic year featuring a discussion on “Digital Pets.”

Lightning Lunches are short meetings over lunch featuring the work of three scholars on a theme in current critical digital humanities scholarship.

Dr. Rachel Corbman, Postdoctoral fellow for CDHI and CLIR in community data at the University of Toronto; Dr. Rachel Levine, Postdoctoral Fellow of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto; and Natalie Ngai, Doctoral Candidate in Communication and Media at the University of Michigan, will be speaking about their work on the (digital) relationships between humans and their pets through exhibition, artificial intelligence, and social media.
