Congratulations to the Award Recipients of the 4th Annual DH Conference!

It is our great pleasure to announce the winners of 4th Annual DH Conference’s presentation awards. A very warm congratulations to

  • Bisma Ali, recipient of the Best Undergraduate Poster Award for her presentation on “Access to Healthcare for Rural Women in Canada and the Contemplation of Digital Solutions”
  • Shehryar (Shay) and Shehroze Saharan, co-recipients of the Best Graduate Poster Award for their work on “The Matilda Project – Inequality and Gender Bias towards Women in Science”
  • Shenella Charles, Autumn Epple, Carlie Manners, and Sheila Wheesk (with Heidi Bohaker and Cara Krmpotich), the co-recipients of the Best Graduate Paper Award for their research into “Rethinking Digital Research Infrastructures: Mobilizing the Great Lakes Research Alliance’s Knowledge Sharing Database for the 21st Century”

This year’s conference hosted a wide array of compelling papers, posters, and lightning talks, including exemplary presentations by graduate and undergraduate students. The awardees were selected based on their presentations’ clarity, ability to engage other participants, excellence fielding questions, and contributions to the critical digital humanities and the speakers’ respective research fields.
